Councillor Anderson serves as the current Chairman of Harborough District Council. The Chairman is the First Citizen and represents the council at civic functions and at local events around the district.

Before his his current civic leadership position, he has held the responsibilities of Chair of the Services and Communities Scrutiny & Overview Panel 2024-2026, Vice Chairman of the Council 2025/26, and Young Persons Champion 2023-2025.

Buddy is an Independent ward councillor for Great Bowden & Arden who has previously advocated for local governance reforms. He lives in Market Harborough with his young family and has worked in financial services for 11 years.
