Mark is married with two grown up children that both attended schools in Broughton Astley. He is also a Parish Councillor since 2011. Between 2007 and 2010 he chaired the Broughton Astley Business Forum which produced an 80-page local magazine of Broughton Astley community groups, sports clubs, and businesses. Mark is self employed as a Chartered Accountant, and has worked for many businesses in the local area, the wider region, and also in London for a few years. Since 2003 he has run his own accountancy practice from Broughton Astley. When Mark is not sat in front of a computer spreadsheet or attending a council meeting, he likes swimming, hill walking, and volunteering as an Explorer Scout Leader for the local 14-17yrs scouts. He has so far completed only 14 of the 282 Scottish Munros but hopes to complete a few more.
